We use as few cookies as possible, and nothing beyond the strictly necessary runs until you have agreed to it. This page explains what we set, what each one does, and how to change your mind.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, and they can help its owner understand how the site is used.
Our approach
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics. Rejecting is as simple as accepting. If you reject, or simply do not accept, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent. Nothing that is not strictly necessary runs before your choice.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary
- Consent preference: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we do not ask you again on every page. This is needed for the banner to function and does not require consent. It stores only your choice.
Analytics, only with your consent
- Google Analytics 4: helps us understand, in aggregate and pseudonymous form, how visitors find and use the site, so we can improve it. These cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) are set only after you accept, and typically last up to two years. The provider is Google. For how Google handles this data, see Google's own privacy and cookie policies. We do not use analytics to identify you personally.
What we do not use
We do not use marketing, advertising or social media cookies. We do not embed third-party content that would quietly set its own cookies. If that ever changes, this page and the banner will change with it.
Changing your mind
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time. Clearing this site's cookies in your browser removes your stored choice and brings the banner back on your next visit. Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies more generally.
